Items relating to music, concerts and musicians and bands can be found here. The ticket stubs here represent just some of the concerts I attended from the Mid 1970s mostly until about 1995, but I have attended many shows until the present day. Many times, in the past, you never got the ticket or a torn stub returned to you after you were admitted to the venue, especially true at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City where it was General Admission on the weekends, 3 bands for $10 and there were some great bands that came through there. If you went both days, you could see six bands on the weekend for $20.
Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, NJ
Opened in 1937 and demolished in 1985. Home of countless weekend concerts that were 3 bands for $10 Saturday & Sunday. No tickets, pay at the gate and meet at home plate. I saw un unbelievable number of great acts there such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Outlaws, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers and many, many more. Photo courtesy of Wikipedia and is public domain.
