Pile of US Silver Coins?
What looks like a pile of genuine US silver coins is a fake. Somehow this pile was made up by either pressing the coins into plaster, to make a mold, and then filling the mold with lead. Apparently the mold was coated with a thin layer of a harder metal to keep the detail longer. You can see that in the 'crinkled' surface at 2 o'clock.
