High Line
High Line
The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long elevated linear park, greenway and rail trail created on a former New York Central Railroad spur on the west side of Manhattan in New York City. The High Line's design is a collaboration between James Corner Field Operations, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and Piet Oudolf. Wikipedia The official High Line entrance is on 34th Street and you can walk to just past 12th Street and get off at the terminus at Gansevoort Street at the Whitney Museum of Art. You can start at either end and then take 10th Avenue back either way. You can access Chelsea Market along the way, which in my humble opinion is a much overpriced tourist trap but if you want a good meal for the right price stop in at Hudson Market.
